Lycamobile is a British mobile virtual network operator, operating in over 20 countries all over the world. The bulk of Lycamobile’s revenue is generated through the sale of their SIM products, providing cheap pay-as-you-go SIMs for making international calls. As the products allow customers to make cheap international calls Lycamobile’s key target market is customers with expatriate and ethnic backgrounds to enable them to make international calls.

Objective

The objective of our work with Lycamobile was to drive awareness for the brand, with a specific focus on their unique selling point, their extremely cheap international call pricing in the UK.

Mechanics

The campaign saw us provide Lycamobile with a team of Brand Ambassadors to hand out Lycamobile SIM cards at a number of community events as well as outside of high footfall shopping and travel destinations throughout London and across the UK. Whilst working these activations and handing out SIM cards our staff were engaging the audience in valuable conversations, educating people about the brand and distributing booklets and flags.

Throughout our relationship with Lycamobile we have also secured a number of co-sponsorship opportunities for them at events across the UK, including Comedy Nights etc. The purpose of these is to increase brand awareness.
